Large amount of credits on demand is such a big deal late game.

Totally true, but I don't think Stimhack solves this. Stimhack doesn't give you 9 credits really, it just gives you credits for the run. Savvy Corps will know this and act accordingly. They won't rez ICE (or maybe they will).

Checklist for using Stimhack:
1. Corp has no unrezzed ICE on the server you're after.
2. You know or have strong feelings what you're running on will yield positive results for you.
3. You have a Sentry-breaker (if they have Sentry ICE)
4. You have a Code Gate-breaker (if they have Code Gates)
5. You have a Barrier-breaker (if they have Barriers)
6. You need money.
7. You have enough cards in hand to survive after.
8. Your opponent cannot Scorch you or otherwise punish.

I'd argue if you go through the checklist and handle each item, there's a better play than Stimhack. But that's me and my playstyle.

It is a great card against red herrings (which lots of people play), sansan (which lots of people are beginning to play), and can really throw the corporation off-balance when the runner bankrupts.

Hey, as a metagaming response to the above situations, I can see it if I squint. Red Herrings and SanSan are not picking up in my local meta enough for me to worry. They're still net/meat damage/Scorch crazy. I still wouldn't play Stimhack.

What I like about this discussion is it is telling of how there are different playstyles and people can support their logic and play the way they want to. Good for Netrunner for getting that right.
