The Ints on the other hand will offer a new anti-swarm swarm tactic. Xwing attack with Tie defense.
And as long as an interceptor Evades twice while being attacked, it effectively has "two shields" as well, making it very much X-Wing like for a few points less and +1 Agility. And in missions it's three attack dice are rolling against 1-2 Agility targets, while X-Wing's three attack dice are rolling against 3 Agility targets.
And this is scary. Assuming the TIE/int costs around 18-19 points (all the photos previewed so far seem to have it at somewhere less than 20), then for a few more points you get a Backstabber whose +1 Attack special ability is always active with the Boost Action thrown in to boot, but of course, the interceptor's pilot skill will be lower (though against Elite Rebel builds this is already moot).
It's hard for me to imagine any Imperial tournament builds after Wave 2 not being founded on a three to five Interceptor core, especially since it should fare much better in the mirror match.
