What's the issue with the ending of Neuromancer?
The book is about the title character (and its "other half", Wintermute). Their "life's goal" is achieved at the end. It also sets up nicely for the theme of the next book in the series. I thought the way the second book worked around the "Matrix Problem" was really clever.
I rather like the way Gibson wraps up the stories of the minor characters too. You have to read the later books to get the long-term picture for them, but it's a trilogy after all - some degree of continuity is to be expected.

There was no moral point to the story.
