I remember when the first campaign was run and Mindclash stating the minis would be lmited to one print run only. Well there have been several since. I bet they do sell off the new larger box. I would not back another KS from these guys. Zero credibility.
Because why? Because you want the game and its add-on contents and stretch goals to be exclusive to backers and not a retail success? That seems elitist. I'm sure if Mindclash said that, it was because they couldn't gauge whether the game would be successful and whether they would ever be able to do another manufacturing run of the exosuit miniatures (remembering that it was their first minis game), and not because they intended the minis to be KS exclusives. Mindclash's philosophy in Kickstarters has been to have no KS-exclusive gameplay content, and fairly minimal cosmetic things like a box sleeve or your name in the manual. I would say the minis are close to being required gameplay content, since most people say so.
I haven't done many Kickstarters, but Mindclash has about the most credibility of those I've done. They provide frequent and detailed updates (sometimes 2 a day at the moment!), they make the campaign fun by including little riddles and challenges, they deliver what they promised and not massively late, with any delays and problems explained openly. You ask pretty much anyone who has backed one of their games and I think they will be very pleased with the campaign and its results. Hard to believe anyone would say they have zero credibility on performance so far, just because the minis were available to everyone.
