Why was there urgency on the final Run?

I don't think it was a win/don't win situation.

The Runner had 6 agenda points to the Corp's 3 agenda points, so in terms of the immediate results for that single turn the Runner would have won if it were an agenda while the Corp would not have.

The rationale for running discussed in the video was that the Runner's economy was overall slow. (In reviewing the play-by-play, the Runner used all of his Armitages and Sure Gambles and two of his Easy Marks.) The Runner felt that he only had the economy to make one run on the remote server over the next two turns or so, which would have been enough for the Corp to score an agenda (if that had been what was in RS1) and then Biotic Labor a Beta Test for the win.

Because of how things looked two to three turns out, the Runner felt that he was in a win-lose situation that had to be decided then and there.
