CoC is pretty neat, at least it has the faction system the mostly reminds me of the MtG color system (I have no idea why I'm so fond of no limit deckbuilding type, but I am). But I've heard it can be bland and predictable and the theme is the one I'm least interested in.

I think your sources may not have much experience in the game, as this is the first time I've heard anyone make claims like that. Actually, I would say it has the most variety of the LCGs. It's roughly tied for biggest card pool w/ AGoT (yielding more card unpredictability), it's the only game that allows complete freedom in mixing factions, Events (the least predicable card type since you can play them at any time) seem to play a larger role than in AGoT where they are relatively minor and Netrunner doesn't really allow actions on the other players turn at all. I haven't played Warhammer: Invasion, so I can't say much about that other than it's the only LCG I've never seen anyone play before.

For AGoT different people prefer playing different ways. My general understanding is that more casual players seem to prefer playing multi-players and more "serious" players prefer playing 2p. That makes sense to me because player collaborations can outweigh better deckbuilding and play skills and skilled deckbuilders and players tend not to like that :)
