I saw GA talk at SFX weekender a couple of years ago, he was very proud of the new Captain Scarlet, but withering about how it was shown (split in half on a saturday morning gurning show for kids). He seemed very with it at the time, if a little bitter - understandably, real shame if he's been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

It's not fashionable for us Brits to say we love our country, post-imperial guilt means we view such patriotism with suspicion, but y'know - it's ok here. Good old NHS and all that, eh?

As for getting games from Servando - that's cool. Not heard of many of them, but then I've been keeping out of the new games merry go round (cf: my blog).

We fans of this game need to stick together. Its time will come. Perhaps with an Android style director's cut? Happy to brainstorm rules changes or improvements with you and anyone else who wants to if you like.

Not sure how Gerry is right now. I read in the magazine he had to miss a fundraiser because he was ill but didn't go into detail.

I loved the new Captain Scarlet. They've never shown or released it here so I ordered a PAL copy from Amazon UK. I've watched it a couple times and it really is quite good. The CG is showing its age but doesn't distract. And the acting and modern take on the original series is well done. I wish they had a formal finale. There were so many interesting hints about the aliens but they never resolved anything. Kind of felt like they expected to do another series.

I did read your blog and totally agree with it. I'm a closet collector but my shelves are heaping full and have backed way too many KS projects this year. I'm going to have like 6 titles coming in the next few months. I'm actually not really sure how many are coming since I went a bit crazy early this year. I did some selling earlier in the year and planning to do another bunch this weekend to clear some space. The problem is I've got tons of games I really love for one reason or another so can't part with them. Some are just interesting like Space Dealer, others the theme is awesome. So trying to figure out which I know we'll never in a million years play and the theme/mechanics aren't revolutionary enough to hold on to.

I'd certainly be up for doing some optional rules. Maybe after Joe gets done with the revised manual and it's solid we can discuss some ideas!
