I love Girl Genius the works. Freaking LOVE it. Suck at playing it (no surprise I suck at all games) If I could get all the xxxenophile cards I would. Love this damn game.Fluxx...is there really any strategy to this game? I mean there is SOME I guess with holding a goal until you have the keepers but the rules change so damn much and kill hands out to the point I'm not sure there is really strategy so much as just waiting to get lucky. Love the chaos.
A long time ago in another life there was this teen age kid. He was in love with magic the gathering and rage the ccg (one with werewolves) and he set out one day to make this cool cyberpunk card game that worked KIND of like shadowrun for the sega genesis and had this city district building system that worked kind of like carcassonne. So this young lad tested his game and it was coming along and his play testers were into it and all that happy stuff that goes with game making. Then one day this young man was in a Waldenbooks flipping through a scyre or some such magazine and sees an add on the very back cover for Netrunner. Dreams came crashing down.
I want to like netrunner, i really do. I have a very crappy hold on the rules of it and learning a new ccg/tcg/lcg just doesn't seem like fun. I play it, I lose or win, I pack it up. Rinse repeat. I can't seem to find the lever to pull that says THIS IS AWESOME and all the awesome sauce of netrunner comes pouring on me.
No I have no idea what the fuck that means.
