I haven't played 51st State and I've had limited plays of The The New Era, but I am already very impressed with this game. I don't play RftG much but when I do bring it out I enjoy it. However, now that The New Era is on the scene I don't foresee RftG hitting the table again, certainly not in the near future. My enjoyment factor with The New Era is far higher that RftG. I think the level of player interaction with TNE hits the sweet spot, the theme feels less tacked on than RftG and I just prefer the games mechanics. I'm eager to play this game at game nights which was something RftG never did for me. I've got The New Era rated at 8.5 at the moment and if it continues to give me the same enjoyment factor after my honeymoon with it is over, it may even get up to a 9 which is special for a card game.
Im interested in peoples thoughts on their experience with The New Era compared to RftG. Has anyone else found The New Era has made RftG redundant for them?
