If one player is playing better than the others, how often should they win? In my opinion, depending on the skill gap, it should be close to 80-90% win rate. That’s not a runaway leader problem IMO, that’s a natural result of skill differentials in a game with skill.
If I were going to play against 3 newbies, I would win most of the time. In that case, I would start them with +4000cR or something like that, and likely bend other rules as needed to make the game balanced for skill differences.
Of course, there is definitely randomness in xia, so it’s possible for one player to get luckier. But in my experience, that’s more rare, and usually you can point to some choices that players made to cause the difference in results.
