No arguments there. That's part of what I was hoping to experiment with. To see if a well-managed and well-proportioned large deck could be effective with good play despite the general consensus being that leaner decks are more efficient.

It's nothing to do with a general consensus, or about well-managed or well-proportioned. It's really rather simple. If you're using the extra deck then it should be there, if you're not then it shouldn't.

That means if you are at risk of decking without bumping up the deck-size, or if you are consistently drawing through and playing the majority of your cards, then you should increase the size. If not, you shouldn't
